Situated on the banks of river Banas The Raj Mahal was earlier known as the Raawatji-Ka-Bagh. Built by Sawai Jai Singh II in 1798 A.D, as an ode to his favorite queen Maharani Chandra Kumar Ranawatji, the heritage palace was finally converted into a deluxe hotel in 1980 after the royal family decided to move into another place. It is located in the small town of Tonk, 170 Km. from Jaipur on the Jaipur-Kota highway.
The heritage hotel offers 23 rooms to its guests. These air-conditioned rooms, which are divides into suites, royal suites and standard rooms are equipped with all the modern amenities like attached bath with hot/cold water, telephones, televisions, 24 hours room service, etc. The on site restaurant provides the finest Indian cuisine.
