Gajner Palace Hotel

Described as a jewel in the Thar Desert, Gajner Palace is an imposing structure built on the embankment of Lake Gajner by Maharaja Ganga Singhji of Bikaner. The heritage hotel, which used to serve as an erstwhile hunting resort for the royal family and guests and is spread over an area of 6000 acres, has been redone painstakingly to restore the Raj days and capture the opulence of royal Rajasthan. The most singular feature of the heritage hotel is that the palace complex has a wildlife sanctuary on its grounds, which is home to several endangered species and migratory birds.

Set in a suburban locale, the hotel is accessible by air and road both. The nearest airway station and railway station are located at a distance of 260 kms and 32 kms respectively. The rooms, serviced 24 hours, are equipped with attached bath with hot/cold water, direct dialing telephone, television, in house movie channel and a mini bar. Mirage, the onsite restaurant, serves Continental and traditional Indian cuisine while Lake Terrace serves snacks. The Mrigtrishna Bar is well stocked too.

Apart from the usual hotel facilities like coffee shop, travel desk, cyber café, money exchange, safe, health center, laundry, business center, doctor on call, car rental and indoor games, the Hotel Gajner Palace also arranges for nature trails, boat rowing and cultural & folk evenings every day. The camel, horse and jeep safaris in the early mornings or evenings when the wildlife flocks to the lake to drink water are very popular with the guests.

The grandeur and sweep of Gajner Palace takes one by surprise. The red sandstone architecture contrasting sharply with the blue skies above and the abundant greenery, The Gajner Palace combines a royal stay with a fascinating wildlife experience.
